Athletic Business

Each summer, a rotating panel of leading architects convenes for two days in Chicago to review all entries from the June issue of Athletic Business Magazine and choose 10 facilities to receive the coveted Facility of Merit Awards, announced in the December issue of Athletic Business and presented at an awards reception at the annual Athletic Business Conference.

Facilities are selected on the basis of plan efficiency, functional relationships and measures taken to maximize use of space, interior finishes, detailing and color schemes, exterior design, relationship of building to site, and cost of construction for value received.
